Rev. Keith R. Johnson/ Chief Operating Officer
The Operating Officer position provides the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure that Alpha & Omega Community Services has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people in place to effectively grow the organization and ensure financial strength and operating efficiency. This position accomplishes this through a respectful, constructive and energetic style guided by the objectives of Alpha & Omega Community Services.
Minister Johnson was licensed to preach the Gospel on February 26th, 2012 under the leadership and direction of Pastor Jesse W. Plater, Senior Pastor of the Alexander Memorial Baptist Church in Washington, DC. His acceptance of God’s calling on his life has been very inspirational to others. The desire to serve God’s people through ministry and the ability to lead are his greatest attributes.
He was appointed to the ministerial staff as Associate Minister at the historic Alexander Memorial Baptist Church. He is charged with implementing the pastor’s vision of evangelistic enrichment and serves as the Adult Sunday School instructor. With a servant’s heart he participates in fellowship, bible study, ministry outreach, academic achievement, leadership and cultural awareness.
Rev. Johnson possesses an innate ability to inspire others from all walks of life; he remains committed to ministry in his Christian walk, and his education. With a thirst to better understand the Word and will of God, he received his Associates of Arts degree in Biblical Studies in May 2015 from The Maple Springs Baptist Bible College and Seminary and is currently enrolled in their Bachelor of Arts program- Class of 2017.
Rev. Johnson is passionate and determined to make a difference in the lives of the people we serve through a person-centered program geared to promote a positive self-image. He’s committed to the spiritual, intellectual development of youth, and seniors and their economic empowerment – Based on the following: respect for self and family, spirituality, justice and integrity.
Rev. Keith Johnson’s humorous personality captivated the heart of his devoted wife, Sis. Kim Johnson and they worship with their 2 children Taizse and Lauren. Keith is honored to be afforded the opportunity that Pastor Plater has entrusted him with to teach and preach the Word of God to all.
